We’re delighted to be invited to recruit for a proactive, engaging and organised Business Development Executive to join our client on a part-time basis in the packaging machinery sector. You’ll find yourself working for a small, specialist business that partners with international manufacturers and supplies equipment across industries a range of industries. Their machinery plays a vital role in packaging the everyday products we all use.
Salary £29-31K (full time equivalent) pro rata depending on experience
Key responsibilities for the Business Development Executive include,
- Identify new markets suitable for the packaging machinery manufacturers represented
- Identify businesses within these markets and introduce the company’s products and services
- Research new business sectors
- Follow up leads generated through trade shows
- Research potential contacts through different mediums
- Carry out new product investigation, leading to a targeted lead generation
- Follow up all introductions made and develop relations
- Regularly engage with potential and existing customers developing relationships
- Get involved in promotional tasks including maintaining the social media profile
- Assisting the Managing Director with some projects
As a part-time Business Development Executive the role offers,
- Office-based role with a flexible working pattern (up to 20hrs/week over 2-3 days)
- Training and support to understand the industry and products
- A varied mix of lead generation, sales coordination, project management & marketing
- The chance to join a close-knit small team (with an office dog for company)
The ideal part-time Business Development Executive will need the following,
- Be a natural and engaging communicator who can build rapport with ease
- Previous experience within a similar role where building client relationships is key
- Curious and eager to learn how packaging machinery impacts everyday products
- Proactive, sales focused - persistent, resilient and to create new opportunities
- Ability to absorb technical information and convey it in a customer friendly way
- Confident with Office 365 (knowledge of QuickBooks or ACT! is a plus)
- Experienced in sales admin, coordination, or marketing useful
- Full UK driving licence and own car essential due to rural location
